I've been teaching math in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2001. In that time, I have focused primarily on working with underrepresented students, especially students with learning disabilities, Black and Brown students, and LGBTQ+ students. I strive to help them feel welcome in my classroom as well as the larger mathematics community, and hope they will learn to love math. At home, when not trying to save the world through math education, I enjoy time with my family (spouse, two children, and our dog and cat), playing music, and getting outdoors.
