Spring CUE 2018 Conference

All conference attendees are invited to the Closing Keynote Saturday afternoon. We will be honoring CUE members and friends through our annual CUE Awards Ceremony. Join us as we present the Emerging Teacher of the Year, Outstanding Teacher of the Year awards and present the LeRoy Big Idea - 2018 Fellowship awards.

Special guest Jasmyn Wright will be featured at the beginning of the keynote.

How small things make a big difference - Erin Klein
Klein has spent the past year capturing inspirational moments of children shining through helping others learn. Listen as she shares examples of children who are helping one another in creative ways through creative projects and personalized learning. See how highlighting student voice can support classroom practices and create a more student-centered learning environment.

As an international design consultant and classroom teacher, Klein will also share creative ways you can organize your learning environment and create unique spaces, all in the service of helping children learn.  She will also share ways to embed technology into the curriculum to enhance current instructional practices and increase active engagement while differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners.  Hear about the fundamental elements of creating a space that is developmentally appropriate, personalized, and brain-friendly for today’s learners.

Above all, her examples will showcase how it's the little things we do daily that can make the biggest impact on the students we touch.

Jasmyn is going to inspire us, just like she does with her students! Central to all of Jasmyn's work is the belief that education, advocacy, and empowerment hold the key to eliminating barriers. She is the CEO & Founder of The Push Through Organization - a non-profit that seeks to equip and inspire people all over the world to overcome adversity. Jasmyn’s Push Through mantra went viral back in November 2016 with 3.7 million views. She’s been featured in The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed News, NPR News, The Today Show, BET, ESSENCE, etc.  Her new and shortened Push Through mantra is now featured in a GAP Kids back to school commercial.
