The Commission’s newly redeveloped California Teaching Performance Assessment (CalTPA) will begin full implementation in the summer/fall of 2018. The redeveloped CalTPA will require, based on the updated Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs), that all teacher candidates demonstrate that they are able to integrate educational technology, in their lesson planning, instruction, and assessments, in their student teaching or intern teacher placement.
