The Beatles wrote “all you need is love” and right now love is exactly what our teachers and students need! Teachers and students are successfully learning the required content, but are they loving it? Too often the answer to that question is “no.” The shift from learning to loving is found in personalization, empowerment, partnership, and academic freedom for both students and teachers. This session will focus on three practical academic practices that are simple to implement in all content areas that will always welcome the teacher’s and student’s personal interests and curiosities into all areas of learning. Additionally we will introduce a new approach to PBL that will leave the emphasis on the “project” part behind! Learning Opportunities Valuing Everyone (LOVE) will liberate learning and bring passionate coherence.
