St. Rose of Lima School
Diocese of San Diego
I've been teaching since 1975, experiencing many changes in education, and have taught grades K-12. I am currently teaching grades K-8 computers, gr. 8 US history, and coaching the gr. 6-8 Academic Decathlon team. I love theatre, music, reading, travel, watching some sports, and learning new things. This past summer, I spent three weeks back east for an NEH seminar on Thomas Jefferson and a Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute. I am a George Washington Life Guard Teacher Fellow, a Monticello Teacher Institute Barringer Fellow and a past participant in the Society of the Cincinnati American Revolution Master Teachers Program. I have been the California representative to the George Washington Teacher Institute at Mount Vernon twice and a participant in the NEH Landmarks Seminars: Crossroads of the American Revolution, Lexington and Concord and Graffiti Houses: the Civil War through the Perspective of Individual Soldiers. My daughter runs a pet hospital in Reno, Nevada, and is active in statewide political programs. My son is professional wrestler who works for several different companies, has wrestled in Japan and all over the east coast, and is now the Director of Creative and Development for the United Wrestling Network, as well as a personal trainer. My four-year old grandson has not chosen a career yet, other than that of being adorable.
