I believe in inclusion. I believe the students our schools are struggling to teach have the most to teach us AND in their inclusion we have the conditions that usher in the innovative and compassionate schools we all are longing for. I've spent the past 11 years working in Sanger Unified School District in the heart of California's Central Valley⁠—8 years as a special day class teacher and 3 years working specifically to rollout Universal Design for Learning (UDL) district wide in Sanger.

Beginning August of 2019, my family and I start a new adventure as I begin graduate school to pursue a doctorate of education leadership at Harvard University. I'm also a CAST Cadre Member and consultant for Novak Educational Consulting.
